"Musical Memories" is the inspiration of David Hornung. David started playing accordion at an early age and continues in retirement. He is based in Abbotsford, in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia (BC). Normally, he travels to perform within the Lower Mainland and the Metro Vancouver Region. His first love is Big Band music followed by popular ballroom dance music where guests can; Waltz, Fox Trot, Swing, Jive, Cha-Cha, as well as enjoy ethnic European dance steps like the Polka. Regardless of whether the music is background dinner and dance music, easy listening or a main presentation, you will be surprised by the quality of the live music you hear from this solo artist. David's goal, through preparation and collaboration with the event coordinator or family member, is to play vintage music compatible with the theme of the celebration. He has a strong interest of including favorite pieces of music.
Generally, you can expect to hear popular tunes covering from the period starting in the 1900's to 1970's. The music covers most genres and styles, performed on a fully MIDI V-Accordion. David is experienced in a variety of special events, occasions and venues ranging in size from an intimate group of 10-15 to larger settings suitable for a sit down dinner/dance event of up to 350 guests.
The ultimate goal of Musical Memories by David Hornung is to contribute to your planned event so your guests leave with a happy, memorable experience.
